Stayed in College Park one night while traveling south and this stop was a gem! Board and Brew food was amazing as was the coffee. Kudos to the chef for making the fried food the best we have had. Our server JJ was so attentive and friendly, making us feel at home. Highly recommend and ask for JJ. You won’t be disappointed!
Highly recommend Board and Brew! the atmosphere is fantastic and for only $6 a person you can rent any game in the shop to play with friends. the drinks and snacks are great! the bathrooms have awesome chalkboards in them
Amazing experience! visiting from out of town to celebrate my dad’s graduation and we had a wonderful time. the ambiance was great and the food was even better.we sat for almost two hours after eating playing dominoes as a family. 10/10 would recommend!
Our bookclub hosted our meeting in a private room and the spot is perfect! We had a dedicated server take our orders and held our meeting without interruption. The fare and beverages were top tier, plus the location was suitable for individuals coming from different locations. Most plan to revisit with their families to engage in the board games and/or to partake in their coffee/teas/matchas. Note the parking garage can be tricky, the pay to park meter malfunctioned for us. But others had no issue. Fortunately, we didn't get a violation 🎉🥳🎉
Wow, this place is amazing!! What a blessing to have a board game cafe/restaurant in Maryland, my nerd heart was geeking out at all the games. The managers, I am assuming, Benji (and forgive me, I didn't get the girl with the pink hair's name) were so lovely and accommodating. They allowed us to come in a half hour earlier than normal reservations since it was a tiny party, and were apologetic and generously comped the meal 20% when we didn't get served for a while (which was completely understandable, since they were swamped. Also, we figured it was just a simple miscommunication since we were accommodated off the books. The table next to us got served right away after they were seated, so their service is excellent, we were just an anamoly due to the booking I think). The food was delicious, the board games plentiful, and I feel bad again, I am completely blanking on the Game Master's name, but he was warm, friendly and hilarious, helping us get going on our game of Labrinth. Our server Sasha was awesome, very friendly and kind. Highly recommend coming here, for the delicious food and the outstanding customer service!
My husband and I made a quick stop in here with our 4 month old. It was later at night so we were hesitant to bring a baby that may interfere with others enjoyment on a Saturday night. I will say BEN and MARGO made us feel right at home. Ben was so nice to even allow me a private area to feed my baby and put her to sleep. This allowed us to stay and order some drinks/ food. While we did not get to play the games, we were given the option and never rushed or felt uncomfortable in any way. They even recognized it was a day past my husband’s bday and still offered him a brownie Sunday. These little details really speak to your business success. The food was phenomenal and enjoyed every bite. We will for sure stop back once we come to MD once more!
Visited with my husband for drinks & games. Craft beer selection was good 👌🏼 and at the time, they had a "spicy watermelon margarita' on special which was really good! We did end up ordering the pretzel bites, which were really nice as well. Game selection was really good and very organised! Could do without the $6 charge per person to play games, however - especially when you're already paying for food/drinks! Service was quick and friendly. Would recommend for drinks, food and games with friends!
The Pesto Chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed how fresh it tasted along with how everything blended in together well. I also really enjoyed the Caffe Miele. Our waiter was kind and professional. I enjoyed how lively and welcoming this place was. The only thing I found disappointing is how expensive it is to play their board games they had. Other than that I would definitely come back.
Really cute atmosphere! Unfortunately, the board games require payment to play. I guess that’s expected. Around $7 per person if I remember correctly? The food here is pretty good. THE FRIES MMM. The service is great!
Jess was phenomenal! Hella humble & helpful! Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! Ask for Gemma, she was my server. I recommend the Davy Jones' Locker & the Bnb wings! Super chill, very knowledgeable about the history of the store & the menu as well. Can't wait to return w/ family & friends & spank ALL of them in STONE AGE lol😤
